As part of their preparation for Confirmation the eleven schools in the parish were given an introduction to life in a third world country. A country that has been devastated by war and which has left many people close to starvation.
The war has a lot to do with oil deposits, the deposits are in the south of the country near Khartoum and the oil refineries are in the north.
Representatives from each school gathered in the Convent last Thursday for a presentation of Slides and a Video of the children and life in a very different situation. The idea is that someone from each class will give a presentation to their whole class about what they learnt last week.
